Learn To Skate
This program is open to boys and girls ages 3 to 8. Emphasis is on the fundamental skills of skating, including forwarding skating, turning and stopping, and enjoying physical activity.
This program is a recommended prerequisite to “Learn to Play – Micro” Hockey Program, which is typically a child’s second/third year on the ice.

Open to boys and girls ages 3 - 8.
When
The program runs from November 11, 2023 through mid March.
Sessions take place on Saturdays at Noon.
Where
All Learn to Skate sessions are held at the O'Neil rink on Union Street.
Equipment
- Hockey skates
- Hockey helmet
- Please no bicycle helmets, as the helmet should be fitted with a cage or a full-face shield.
- Heavy gloves or mittens
- Knee pads or ski/snow pants
- Elbow pads or winter coat covering/protecting in case of a fall
- Note: No hockey sticks at Learn to Skate Program
2023-2024
Learn to Skate is open to boys and girls ages 3 to 8. Weekly sessions are held at the O'Neil rink in Charlestown. Sessions take place on Saturdays at noon from November 11th through mid-March.
Registration fees are: $180.
